The day began with registration at 9:00 am, followed by a warm welcome and opening address. Shortly afterward, each of the teachers was introduced, allowing parents to meet the staff and understand more about the people guiding their children’s learning.
The meeting continued with a presentation on the current school situation and accident insurance, helping families understand the systems in place for student safety. This was followed by an explanation of local contributions, including tuition and transportation fees—an important topic for many families in the migrant community.
From there, the discussion turned to school rules, focusing on uniform expectations and hair guidelines, and then moved into practical matters such as student transportation, including the use of school buses and motorbikes.
A short session also introduced the Sor Kor Ror education pathway, providing clarity on how students can continue their learning in the Thai system. This led into a sensitive but necessary explanation of the Foundation’s policy on student expulsion, agreement forms, and the opportunity for students to resit or rejoin the program where appropriate.
After a short break, parents gathered in small groups for open discussions, sharing experiences, suggestions, and concerns. This interactive session ran until 11:30 am and was followed by an open forum, where school staff responded directly to questions raised by the community.
The meeting concluded with a heartfelt closing remark, expressing appreciation for the vital role that parents play in each child’s journey. Before leaving, families and staff gathered for a group photo, capturing the spirit of unity and shared purpose.
