MOU marks new step for MTP

Students greet representatives from the Non-Formal Education Department
It was a big day at the Marist Education Centre on Thursday, as we celebrated the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Non-Formal Education Department of the Ranong Ministry of Education.
The Director of Non-Formal Education and other staff members attended the signing.
Under the MOU, MMR will become an accredited provider of a 60 hour computer course, under the auspices of the Non-Formal Education Department . The course will be taught to Marist Training Programme (MTP) students as part of their normal computer classes – but on completion of the 60 hours, students will receive a certificate of achievement. This is a significant step for our education programme, as it will provide the first formal recognition for any learning by MTP students.
We look forward to continuing our positive relationship with the Education Ministry here in Ranong, and hope to expand the MOU to include further subjects in the future.
